KM101: The Role of Leadership in achieving a Knowledge ready organisation
The successful implementation of KM in organisations is determined by the strategic dimension and direction of leaders in that organisation.
Expressed explicitly in the year 1999 “Knowledge Management: Executive Summary” and year 2000 “An Investigation of Factors that Influence the Management of Knowledge in Organizations” Leadership is one of the most important and key factors to successful KM. This remains relevant today and for many years to come as leaders drive change.

In this one day KM101 session, targeted at Mid and senior leadership, we will cover on how leaders can (i) influence the KM strategy, (ii) support km initiatives (iii) enhance the KM culture within the organisation and (iv) ensure KM Success in the Team/Organization.
The session will cover academic and practical examples and is scheduled for 10th May 2018.
Rajesh is currently the Head of Strategy and Business Development Director in AIA Singapore (Advisors Alliance Group). Prior to joining AIA, he served as a naval officer for 21 years in the Republic of Singapore Navy. His KM journey started early in his career in leading teams and later on in using after action reviews (AARs) as learning tools. In 2016, he attained his MSc in KM from NTU and has since focused deeper in AARs and Learning Organisations. He now drives strategy and development with elements of KM in ensuring AIA-AAG remains ahead and utilises its institutionalised knowledge as a key factor in her creating competitive business advantage. His expertise in helping organisations develop, manage and leverage on AARs continues to drive his passion for KM. Rajesh is also an Adjunct Faculty at the Singapore University of Social Science, delivering Information Management for the Bachelors in Science in the School of Business.
Working with volunteer KM practitioners in the society has enabled him to merge academic theories and leadership experience with real operational issues at the workplaces, this is his main drive for building a learning organisation, enabling leadership development and supporting lifelong learning.
